Patient Registration

Thank you for choosing Precision Endodontics. We take pride in making your visit pleasant, relaxed and comfortable every step of the way. We are dedicated to delivering personalized care that exceeds expectations with compassion, integrity and without compromise. Please take a moment to read through the following information. When you are finished, continue on to your Patient Registration. We look forward to meeting you soon!

Please be sure to bring the following information with you to your appointment:

  • Any referral forms or x-rays given to you by your dentist.
  • Any insurance information that you did not provide us with over the phone.
  • A list of medications you are currently taking.

*If you are required to take antibiotics before dental treatment due to a medical condition, please be sure you have taken your prescription prior to your appointment.

Your treatment will begin with a 20 to 30 minute consultation, which may be scheduled along with treatment or at a separate appointment. This is necessary to diagnose the problem, discuss your treatment options, and help you decide how to proceed. Your consultation will include diagnostic x-rays and a thorough examination of the area in question.

If root canal therapy is necessary, a local anesthetic will be used to numb the area. The inflamed or infected nerve and tissue will be removed from your tooth, and the root canals will be cleaned and sealed. You should have no pain during the procedure. Most patients return to their normal daily routine after treatment.

It is possible that treatment may be completed in a single visit. However, this depends greatly on the complexity of your tooth. In some cases, proper treatment may require two or more visits. Faster treatment is not always the best option in regard to the outcome of your tooth. We are committed to spending the time necessary to provide the best possible care for you.

It is important that you call your general dentist after root canal therapy is completed for an appointment to have your tooth permanently restored. The temporary filling placed according to your dentist’s instructions will not permanently protect your tooth from reinfection or fracture. We recommend that the tooth be permanently restored within 30 days. In the meantime, do not use the treated tooth to bite down on anything hard. Until the tooth is permanently restored, it is prone to fracture and you may risk cracking the tooth.

Some minor discomfort in the area is normal following a root canal. It is common for the tooth to be uncomfortable for 2 to 3 days after your treatment. Depending on the circumstances, it is possible for the tooth and surrounding tissues to remain sore for a few weeks. In most cases, discomfort after treatment can be managed with 600 to 800 mg of Ibuprofen every 6 to 8 hours. If swelling occurs in the treated area, please contact our office.

*A more thorough list of post treatment instructions will be given to you after your appointment.

At Precision Endodontics we strive to make payment for your treatment as convenient and affordable as possible. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express, as well as cash and personal checks.

We offer in-network insurance coverage through the following plans:

Delta Dental, Metlife, Cigna PPO, Aetna PPO, Dentemax, Anthem BCBS, Guardian, Assurant, Principal, GEHA, Beta Discount.

*If your insurance company is not listed here, we are happy to submit your claim for payment according to your out-of-network benefits.

Dental insurance plans do not typically provide full coverage of your dental treatment. Your dental coverage is a contract between you and your insurance company. While we will cooperate to the fullest in expediting your claim, you are ultimately responsible for your account. Payment for your portion of treatment will be collected at time of service. Keep in mind that we estimate your patient portion to the best of our ability. However, in some cases, your insurance may pay differently than expected. Should this be the case, you will either be refunded or you will be responsible for the remaining balance due.

We are happy to offer financing options through Care Credit. Care Credit is a healthcare credit card specifically designed to pay for treatment that is not covered by insurance. Every Care Credit customer is offered no interest and low interest payment plans with each transaction. Your Care Credit account can be used at any healthcare practice that accepts Care Credit. The application process is quick, easy, and can be done in the office or at home at
